SEEN Safety System products

SEEN Safety System / Products

The SEEN Safety System enables you to monitor, manage, and mitigate pedestrian-collision risk better than any other system on the market, with less cost and hassle.

The system is comprised of two core products, the patented IRIS 860 sensor, and the IRIS-i camera. Depending on your operating environment and machine type, a variety of accessories may also be needed (see below).

The flagship of the SEEN Safety System, the IRIS 860 sensor uses infrared laser technology to detect reflective tape on high-visibility workwear and markers.

The IRIS-i camera is an accessory for the IRIS 860 sensor. It is NOT a stand-alone device. The camera completes the SEEN Safety System and captures detection data, images, and video (no audio) which is securely uploaded to SEEN Insight over the mobile data network.

IRIS 860 Setup dongle

IRIS 860 Setup Dongle

An IRIS 860 Setup Dongle enables you to change the settings on an IRIS 860 sensor. The dongle uses Bluetooth to connect with SEEN’s free Sensor Setup App for Android and iOS. The dongle is powered from a USB-C power-bank (not supplied).

This is an essential piece of kit and every workplace should have at least one available on site.

Weather Shield

Weather Shield

The IRIS 860 Weather Shield should be used in all applications where the sensor is exposed to the elements. The powder-coated aluminium cover protects the sensor from the effects of rain, heat, and UV.

Cab box

Cab box

A Cab Box is only needed when the sensor/s are used on machines with enclosed cabins. The Cab Box relays the audible detection alert to the driver inside the cab. Each Cab Box can connect up to four IRIS 860 sensors.

Cab box sensor cable

Cab Box Sensor Cable

A Cab Box Sensor Cable is needed for installations requiring the use of a Cab Box. The cables come in various lengths and are used to connect each IRIS 860 sensor back to the Cab Box.

Cable Adaptor

Cable Adapter

A Cable Adaptor allows the IRIS 860 Setup Dongle to be plugged into a Cab Box Sensor Cable (at the Cab Box end). This enables the sensor settings to be changed from inside the machine’s cabin.

Accessory Cable

Accessory Cable

The Accessory Cable connects to the sensor’s accessory port and outputs an electrical signal while the sensor is detecting. This signal can be used to activate various third-party systems.

Demo Pack

Demo Pack

The Demo Pack enables easy demonstration of a SEEN sensor. Includes presentation box, IRIS 860 sensor, mounting bracket with magnetic feet, IRIS 860 Setup Dongle, high-vis vest, hex key, 2x cable ties, instructions. Requires a USB-C power-bank (not included).

Buzzer Cap

Buzzer Cap

The Buzzer Cap is used to reduce the sensor’s alert volume from 94dB to 80dB (at 1m).

Note. A Buzzer Cap is only needed when the sensor’s reduced volume setting does not provide sufficient volume reduction.
